The Serbian Committee for Byzantine Studies, together with the Board for Byzantine Studies of the SASA and The Institute for Byzantine Studies of the SASA, organized the Eighth National Conference of Byzantine Studies, 27–29 October 2025 in Belgrade.  The conference consisted of three parts: thematic session, free communications and discussion forum. The main topic of the conference was “Byzantine City and its Heritage”. Free communications comprised Byzantine topics, whereas the discussion forum bore the title “Challenges of Modern Byzantology”. Members of the Scientific board of the conference were: academician, dr. Ljubomir Maksimović, academician, dr. Vujadin Ivanišević (president), corresponding member of the SASA, dr. Vesna Bikić, dr. Bojana Krsmanović, dr. Srdjan Pirivatrić, dr. Ljubomir Milanović, doc. dr. Dejan Dželebdžić, dr. Maja Nikolić, doc. dr. Miloš Živković, dr. Jovana Šijaković, dr. Bojana Pavlović and dr. Miloš Cvetkovic.
