Dr. Predrag Komatina, Senior Research Associate of the Institute for Byzantine Studies of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts visited the Institute for Medieval Research of the Austrian Academy of Sciences – Division of Byzantine Research (Institut für Mittelalterforschung der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften – Abteilung Byzanzforschung) in Vienna from September 27 to 30, 2022.

The visit was organized within the framework of the project “From Barbarians to Christians and Rhomaioi. The Process of Byzantinization in the Central Balkans (late 10th – mid-13th century),” supported by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia (project number: 7748349; project acronym: BarByz_10-13).

The main goal was to present the project to colleagues at the Institute, outlining its objectives and the progress made so far.
